About Michael Pekovich

Mike Pekovich holds degrees in both furniture making and graphic design from California State University at Long Beach, and has been building commissioned work for over 30 years. He is the editor and creative director at Fine Woodworking, the leading print and online resource for passionate woodworkers everywhere. Ever since relocating to Connecticut in 1996, Mike has dedicated himself to incorporating traditional tools and joinery methods in his work, and currently writes and teaches on his techniques. He has authored two books, The Why and How of Woodworking, and most recently Foundations of Woodworking, which remain best sellers in the field.
